Remonstrance : Scituate, Mass., to the General Court at Plymouth, 1672 July 4.

In response to difficulties over the granting of lands in Scituate, the General Court of the colony had considered many proposals by inhabitants of the town and drawn up a compromise plan. At the town meeting on 27 June 1672, Jeremiah Hatch pushed aside all opposition and had his own proposal voted through. This account of the meeting was sent to the court by members of the defeated group.
